These legs are made to worship

“I wanna be where the people are, I wanna see, wanna see them dancing…strolling along down those? “What do you call them? Oh feet”. Flippin your fins you don’t get too far, legs are required for jumping dancing…wondering free, wish I could be a part of that world…”

Just like Ariel the little mermaid, I too, wanted to be a part of “that” world. Aside from it is my favorite Disney film and Ariel is my favorite Disney princess, I can totally relate to her. On how she struggled to get her heart’s desire and on how she felt out of place, and on how she remained positive on facing life challenges. What can I say; I’m a cheerful lovely mermaid! Ooopppssss….before this turns into a Disney story telling session, let me share to you my own princess story.

There’s this girl who wandered across the mountains and the desert in search for that happy place. An old hermit named Dad once told her that in order for her to find peace and genuine happiness she must go for a quest to find that happy place. The hermit’s wife named Mom armed her with three valuable weapons: Love, Patience and an Open Mind for her to last her journey. And luckily with patience and open mind she finally found it. It’s a placed called Rivers of the Living Water where the river of life flows! But then life in that happy place is not easy, she needs to give up a lot of things - things she used to do, things she loved, that she almost want to give up. She felt out of place, she felt different, she thought that it might not be the right place for her. But with the help of her good friend named Jesus – a very encouraging and caring friend I must say...she stayed. And she was introduced to the community people: the St. Andrew class and the Body Praise Ministry. Love blossomed in her heart with the help of these community people and not long enough she was called to join the body praise ministry where Love grow even more and help her understand how to truly live in that happy place.

Later on, she learned to use her talent. She learned to praise and to worship. Wonderful, wonderful things! And you know what’s really exciting? The community people are all prince and princesses and all of them are preparing for the grand feast in the place called heaven where the King resides! Happiness!

During her free time she always go back to Mom and Dad to share her story. And one idle Sunday over a cup of herbal coffee, Mom noticed that the girl’s knee is not as smooth as before and she asked:

Mom: anak, bakit ang itim na ng tuhod mo? Ano nang nangyari sa legs mo?

Girl: eh ganun talaga, lagi kasi kaming naka luhod…haven’t you heard? These legs are made to worship

Out of the see…wish I could be, a part of that world…

And though little mermaid used her legs to go after the man she loved…this little girl used hers to dance - to praise and worship the King of all.

And oh…did I tell you that she found her prince charming too! ♥♥♥

Thank you Lord! Happiness!
